Multiple key presses to single stimulus (case 17898)

Multiple key presses to single stimulus (case 17898)

Is it possible to record multiple key presses to a single stimulus, without requiring multiple responses? (For example, suppose I want participants to indicate every time they experience an intrusive thought while reading a passage.)

I'm afraid that doesn't work, because it requires multiple responses. I want them to press a key -- say, the space bar -- every time they have an intrusive thought, but some participants won't have them, and some participants will have a lot of them.

Please tell me the full version number (i.e., 20xx.x.xxx) of your copy of DirectRT. You can find it by opening DirectRT and selecting Help>About DirectRT from the main menu bar.

Take a look at the attached .csv input file. It would need you put more keypresses of the space bar than you would think participants would likely make to make sure that they did not run out of possible key presses to make. Also, using the End key gets the participants to skip out of trial 2 on to the end without needing to complete any remaining key presses in trial 2.
