Different errors across different computers (case 17877)
Different errors across different computers (case 17877)
Hello,
I'm trying to use DirectRT for the Dot Probe Task and I'm running into several problems with my files across three different computers. First, I created the file on Computer 1. When I opened it on Computer 2, one of my stimuli (a dot symbol) had disappeared. I got an error message saying that Row 20 was requesting Style Code 0, which did not exist in the style file. Row 20 did not contain style code 0, but I fixed that error by modifying my style file to include Style Code 0. However, the same solution did not work on Computer 3. Now, when I try to run the file on Computer 2, all I get is a black screen. I have to restart the computer in order to exit.
Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated! I am using DirectRT version 2012.4.0.160. Attached are my CSV file and style file.

The attached .csv input file was missing information in the bgr and wgr cells in the row 19. I filled it in in the attached file. Try running it on your computer and let me know if it works.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I tried the new file on 3 different computers in my lab, and I'm just getting a black screen after I enter an ID number. I'm not seeing an error message anymore, but nothing will display.
Are you still getting the blank screens if you run one or two of the files in the Samples folder that came with the DirectRT program folder on your computer's hard drive?

Sorry, I forgot to update this thread! I don't remember what the problem ended up being, but it was resolved and I ran the study successfully. Thanks for all of your help!
