delay presenting image stimuli (case 15436)

Hello,

I am using DirectRT to run an experiment in which participants view sequences of four image stimuli for 250ms each. Between the presentation of each image, there appears to be an ~800ms-1000ms delay where only the blank background is shown.

I have tried multiple suggestions found from this website and from colleagues, including placing the stim/experiment on the harddrive (was working through a network), increasing the presentation time, running on computers with different versions of DirectRT... and I'm still unable to resolve the issue. The image files are rather small as well (106kb).

Any help would be very appreciated.

Can you please upload a copy of your input file and styles.drt file and a few of the image files that make up one trial? I'd like to be able to try to recreate this delay on my copy of DirectRT. If you would prefer, you can send these materials to me directly at support@empirisoft.com.
