MediaLab v.2012 stops working in the middle of an experiment (case 15099)

    Hi there,

after this has happened numerous times I really need some help.

We have MediaLab v.2012 running on Windows 7. The porgramm shuts down at various times during the experiment and we have experienced this on all 4 PCs.

There is another thread with this problem ('Medialab program has stopped working' error) by Beaudrylab with the same problem.

Does anyone face the same problems and/or has a solution?

    thanks in advance

Could you please describe in more detail what happens when the error occurs? Did you get the same message box as is shown in this thread: http://www.empirisoft.com/support/showthread.php/8242-Medialab-program-has-stopped-working-error-(case-8118) Did MediaLab suddenly quit when running your files? Did MediaLab completely close out or did it freeze? Any details like this could be helpful.

It might also be helpful if you could upload a copy of your .que and .exp files. I'll be happy to take a look at them.

    Hi Jason,

thank you for the prompt reply.

Yes, the same message box pops up (except it is in German). It occurs at various points of the experiment. After clicking 'close programm' MediaLab closes and no data is saved.
it started showing the message in about 1 of 10 trials, however it increased dramatically over the past couple of days, shutting down on almost every third trial.

Media Lab does not freeze it just shows a blank screen with the message ans then closes.

I will have to get the permission of our Prof to upload the .que files but will post them asap.

He also mentioned that this problem has only acted up sine we have the Windows 7 installed. Previously we had Windows XP, where it seemed to run fine. We also have the latest version of Direct RT. Hope this can help towards finding a solution.

    Kind regards,
    Maike
