TTLEcho not working with DirectRT v2012 (case 12276)
TTLEcho not working with DirectRT v2012 (case 12276)
Hi,
I am using DirectRT v2012 to present stimuli in an ERP paradigm and need to send TTL codes for each stimulus and response. My TTL codes for stimulus presentation are sending without any problems, but the ttlEcho.txt file is not working as it should be, and my responses are not being sent to my ERP recording software. I have used DirectRT's I/O test application to confirm that the response codes CAN be received by the acquisition software (e.g., the ERP recording software receives TTL triggers from the I/O test if I enter the same port, code and duration that I have programmed for responses in my .csv and ttlEcho.txt files) but the codes are not sending during the program itself (i.e., when the input file is run). I have verified that the keyboard responses are being recorded correctly in the log files. Therefore, there is no problem sending the codes outside of running the input file, and DirectRT is recording which responses are made, they are simply not being "echoed" to the ERP acquisition software.
My files are attached along with a screenshot of the directory to show that the ttlEcho.txt file is located where it should be. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated!!

It's possible that the port address in DirectRT is limited to a value of 32000 or less. Blair Jarvis is currently looking into this possibility.
Hi,
I'm wondering what the solution to this problem was since I am having a similar issue.
Thanks!
Jennifer
Jennifer,
Could you please tell me the full version number (i.e., v.20xx.x.xxx) of your copy of DirectRT. You can find it by opening DirectRT and looking in the upper left corner of the window or selecting Help>About DirectRT from the main menu bar.
Hi Jason,
Yes, the version is 2012.4.0.164
Thank you
