Just bought a DELL research laptop with windows vista. When runnning Direct RT I encounter a black screen which freezes. This is followed by an error notice telling me that direct RT is unable to detect the refresh rate. Suggestions??? thx

We are currently working on a major revision of DirectRT in order to deal with the many changes that affect graphics programming in Vista. Sadly, these changes were dropped like a bomb on most of us. On the bright side, we are very close to a new release that is completely updated and that should work nicely for the next decade of OS evolution. It is about 95% complete and we will spend the next month or so debugging it and kicking the tires before we release it to the public as a Vista-compliant v2008 beta.
