Single key responses and response times

Hi,

I'm sorry if this information is elsewhere and I've missed it, but I'm trying to set up a program where participants press either the right or left shift buttons in response to the appearance of a + symbol on screen. I would like to record which button they press and also how long from when the symbol appears do they press the key.

That kind of task is best and most easily done in DirectRT. It would take moments to create and you would get extremely accurate RTs. Do you have access to DirectRT where you are?
