Unexpected Exit (case 1239)

    Unexpected Exit (case 1239)

Is there any setting in the csv file to keep the letter size and
background color when the csv file is opened in different computers? The
file works OK in my computer; however, when it is opened in my co-author's
computer, some of the instructions are too big to fit the computer screen,
and the background color is changed as well.

    Hi cindylai13.

I would start with making sure that you and your co-author are using the same style file. It is a .drt file usually in the project's main folder (or else the default style.drt file from the main DirectRT folder). Send the style file you have to your co-author, make sure that you both are using the same screen resolution, and see if this might fix the problem.

If you are still having issues, you can explicitly designate which styles in the .drt file each trial of your input file should use. Instructions how to do this can be found in the DirectRT online user's guide by going to Input File section and then going to the Style subsection.

    Hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Psychboiler

adding to psychboiler's response, it seems that you and your colleague have different style settings.

A simple way around such inconsistency is to keep a customize style file in your experiment's input folder, rather than allowing DirectRT to refer to its default style file, "styles.drt" in the DirectRT installation directory.

Occasionally, Experimenter A edits and saves their own default style file, whereas Experimenter B did not save such edits to their own style file. In such a case, when the experiment is run on both computers, it will appear differently.
