Error message (case 410)

I keep getting an error message that states:
"Unable to create or access data folders. If running experiment off of a CD-ROW, specify an alternate data folder in Preferences."

However, I'm running the experiment from a folder on my desktop. What could be causing this error message, and how might I fix it?
