License message when starting a session

    [edited from support email]
The activation code on my machine is fine--the software can be opened no problem. However, when i try to select and run a file, after I choose a file and the software asks me for the subject id etc., a messege appears saying:
DirectRT is not currently licensed on this machine. see 'license' in the DirectRT help menu for more information.

The countdown on my computer continues and i can't use the software...
what can I do to change that?

There are two primary files used by DirectRT. The simple interface you see at startup is directrt.exe. The program that actually runs the session is executedrt.exe. Both are located in the c:\directrt folder. If these two files are not using the same licensing routine, this could happen. For example, if an updated executedrt.exe file were placed in the folder with an older directrt.exe file, this could happen.

To check if this could be the case, look at the versions of the two files:

    c:\directrt\directrt.exe

    and

    c:\directrt\executedrt.exe

Version info can be obtained by right clicking on the file and selecting properties and then version. Let us know what the versions of the two files are and we can check their compatibility for you.
