Desktop visible during a questionnaire
Desktop visible during a questionnaire
Hi,
I mailed you a while ago because I could see the taskbar during my medialab run, that problem was solved after you told me to look at properties and make sure "Always on Top" is de-selected as is Auto-Hide.
My experiment was running fine, only now I realized, that the first time I ran it on different computers, it showed the desktop in between screens (i.e., running a medialab questionnaire -> see desktop after each question). This only happened the first time I ran it and then stopped. Any idea what is going on?
Thanks for your response,
katherine
Hmm. Never heard of this before. This happens the first time on any machine, or just this one? If the latter, have you seen it happen again?
It happened on a number of the lab computers (4 out of 5), and all only the first time..
Hmm. The first time ever and that's it, or the first time you run a session on any given day (e.g., after turning the computer on and off)?
I cannot be sure about the first time ever (certainly it was for me looking at the course, and I have checked it a lot, but you never know what participants see) and it was also the first time run after starting up the computers - although some had been on for about half an hour by the time I tested them, and it did not happen on one of them.
Does your experiment involve any other programs besides MediaLab?
it also involves word and direct RT. I did see the desktop within programs as well, not just between (i.e. within medialab questionnaire).
Can you zip your experiment folder and send it to me at support@... so I can try it here?
