[v2010] Audio files sometimes muted with 0ms TIME value?
[v2010] Audio files sometimes muted with 0ms TIME value?
Hello everyone!
I have written an input file so as to create several trials consisting in a sequence of screens with sounds associated in the background (with the method consisting in setting the time of the sound stim to 0). In some trials the sounds remain mute. While it works perfectly on the 2008 version of DirectRT installed on Windows XP, on the other machine using Windows 7 and the latest version of DirectRT (2010) the problem occurs.
I would really appreciate your help!
If you try replacing the 0 time values with 1, does that fix it? That has been a recent fix for open-ended responses and movie files also. It seems in some (as yet unpredictable) cases, the 0 value is taken perhaps too seriously and is causing problems. We are working on this but switching the 0ms TIME value to a 1ms value has seemed to help. However, I'd also point out that I haven't heard of this yet with sound.
Thank you so much for this answer, unfortunately it still don't work.
I'll apreciate all other suggestions !
Can you create a simplified version of your input file with a few trials that illustrates the problem? If you can attach that here, I'll take a look and see if I can replicate it on one of the machines here and find a fix..
Hello again,
My simplified input file is now attached to this post. As you will see perhaps, the sound on the first trial is audible but remains mute on the second (DRT v.2010, Win 7). It is still ok on the old version of DRT (2008) and Win XP where it is perfectly audible on the two trials.
Thanks in advance for your help !
