Our Lab (Affect & Relationships Lab) is currently working on the purchase of a system for recording electro-physiological data (EMG, respiration, skin conduction, etc.) from Mindware. We want to be able to synchronize this data with data from experiments which will run on DirectRT and MediaLab. Mindware's contact person said that Mindware has experience synchronizing E-Prime data with their system, but that it would probably be possible to do it for DirectRT and MediaLab if these softwares can be triggered via a parallel port. I wanted to know if they can be, and if perhaps you have specific experience with the integration of your softwares with these kind of systems.
Yes, both MediaLab and DirectRT can communicate with the outside world using your PC's parallel port.
