I am running a randomized input file that is freezing in different locations during each test run. I also have times where it doesn't freeze at all? What could be causing this? Is it my file?
If you attach it, I'd be happy to take a look. If it seems random, try taking any trials randomization OUT of the input file and run the trials in a constant order--does that make the freeze more predictable? If so, it may help narrow the search for some problematic syntax.
I actually ran the same file on a different computer both randomized and unrandomized and it seems it sometimes runs fully through and other times it doesn't. I have a feeling it has something to do with the computer BUT I will attach the file for you to look at just in case!

When testing it without the randomization are you reliably able to get past a certain point in the session? Or is it equally likely to freeze after 20 trials as it is after 80 trials? If freezing seems to correlate with the number of trials executed, it could be a memory issue/leak of some kind.
I've tried it both randomized and unrandomized and sometimes it freezes and sometimes it doesn't. It is completely random! (No pun intended). This is why i'm convinced it may have something to do with the computer updating. Were you able to run my file successfully?
Can you try this revision just as a test and tell me if it still locks up? Also, what release of DirectRT are you using? If it's prior to 2010.2.103, I would suggest updating it from the main download page and see if the problem persists.
