Can the presentation time be dependent on the response
Can the presentation time be dependent on the response
Hi everyone,
Is it possible to have the presentation time of a stimulus be dependent on the response given to a previous question? For example, if the last stimulus presented was correctly identified could the next image be presented for a shorter period of time, but if the last stimulus was incorrectly identified than the next image would be presented for a longer period of time. Is is possible to do this without having to actually create a trial for every possible response scenario?
Unfortunately, DirectRT doesn't yet support the feature to compare and alter the design of a study based on the received user variables. MediaLab supports this feature with the help of Excel; however the feature has not yet been added to DirectRT.
We hope to have this functionality integrated into the software within a later version of our 2010 model of DirectRT or in our first release of the 2012 model.
It would seem that as of now, the only way to integrate this design logic into your experiment would be through the use of 2 separate trials per each individual trial that is requesting separate action from an incorrect or correct response.
Has this function been added yet? I'm using DirectRT 2012.
Thank you.
Unfortunately, DirectRT still does not have this feature. We do have it on our list of features to add to future versions of DirectRT.
