When using <specify>, cancel option does not work

When using <specify>, cancel option does not work

I am using multiple response items with an other <specify> option. However, when the specify box pops up, it has "OK" and "Cancel" buttons. The Cancel button advances to the next item, rather than returning the participant back to the original screen.

Is there a way to stop this?

That prompt occurs after the subject has clicked Continue. MediaLab is basically on the way to the next item at that point but then stops to ask the "specify" question. If the subject decides they have nothing to add, then MediaLab simply continues. The difference between the OK and Cancel options is that the response is saved only if the subject clicks OK. I think the only way to do what you are describing is to use the "go back" option to allow the subject to go back to the previous item and re-answer it. Does that help?
