2 programs on screen at the same time?

2 programs on screen at the same time?

    Hello,

I'm hoping to conduct a study where I can display both DirectRT and an instant messaging program on a computer screen at the same time. The problem with DirectRT is that it takes up the whole screen when it's running. A colleague suggested that I look into MediaLab. Is it possible to show both the IM program and DirectRT on the screen together using MediaLab and if so, any hints on how?

    Thanks in advance!

Hm - Unfortunately, DirectRT currently takes up the entire screen regardless of whether or not it is launched from MediaLab or by itself. It is possible to do what you require using MediaLab without DirectRT; however that's only due to the fact that unlike DirectRT, MediaLab doesn't require to take full access to what is written and displayed on the screen.

Our current Beta version of DirectRT 2010 supports the ability to run an input file in a windowed mode - if you would like, we can provide you with a trial version of the application to see if it fits your needs. Let me know if this helps!

Sure, I'd love to try the beta version of DirectRT to see if it will work for me. What should I do to go about getting that?

    Thanks!
