Aospan Task

    Aospan Task

    Hi,

Our lab is trying to use an automated version of the operation span task (UNSWORTH, HEITZ,SCHROCK&ENGLE, 2005; see attachment for the article). It is a very useful test of working memory capacity and it is very important to our work and has been received warmly after the initial inception.

We could only get our hands on an E-prime version of the task (we can send you the E-prime file if you need to take a look at it). Has anyone had any luck to develop it in DirectRT? If yes, we would greatly appreciate if you could share the program with us. If it hasn't been tried yet, is it possible for the Empirisoft staff to at least provide us with some guidance as to how we can program it in DirectRT? Thanks a million!

    Hello

I have been having great difficulty trying to develop an eprime copy of the automated ospan task as outlined by Unsworth et al. (2005). I notice in your post that you may have a copy of this? Would be at all possible to get a look at your version?

    Thank you for you time

You might consider posting the request to the SPSP listserve. Do you know how to do that? It's a very helpful and sharing community of users.

I'm sorry to be a pain but I'm not sure how to do that.

Is it a part of this site?

    Thanks for your help

Neil, an E-Prime version of the Automated Operation Span Task is available from the Engle Lab upon request. Go here: http://www.psychology.gatech.edu/renglelab/tasks.htm. Inquisit versions of the Automated WMC Tasks can be obtained here: http://www.millisecond.com/download/samples/. Regards, D.

Neil, see http://www.spsp.org/email.htm for info on how to access or join the SPSP listserves/email lists. They are very very awesome resources.

DNS666, just so you know, your posts went into a moderation queue because they contained external links which is a red flag for 95% of the spam our boards get. Just wanted you to know that it was a problem with listing outside programs like Inquisit (which happens to be a great program). See also: http://www.empirisoft.com/Support/showthread.php?t=17.
