Why video files won't move on once ended

Why video files won't move on once ended

    Hi

I want to play a short clip (4 minute long) to the subjects and I'm having problems with the time column. I've tried to put in the time the clip plays, the time the clip plays minus 10 seconds and things like that. Every time, when the clip ended, DirectRT fixated at a black screen and won't move on to the next trial. May I know if there is any way out of it? I tried to put "rt:57" there. It seems to work, as in I can press the spacebar to end the video and move on, but I don't want to give the subjects such a great way not to watch the clips.

    Please help~~

    Fantacier,

It would seem that DirectRT is having trouble properly ending the video at the time you're specifying.
If the video is around 4 minutes in length, then the value being used within the time column should be about 240000 (60 x 4 x 1000) . Is this the value you're using? What happens if you use 120000 (half the value)?

    Regards,
    Trevor

I actually tried 10s. it worked. 1 min didn't work. It's absolutely weird...

    Fantacier,

Would it be possible to send over an example input file along with one of the stimuli you're using?

    Trevor

I'm trying to send the files. but the video file is just huge even after compression. is there any way i can make the video file shorter..

    Fantacier,

Perhaps just try sending over a sample input file - I'll replace the missing video files with my own videos that are of a similar size.

    Trevor

Fantacier - Sorry for the confusion. Where did you send the files to?
