Background Color

I am using MediaLab for a psychology study involving the perception and evaluation of colours, and therefore need to keep the background colour of the screen constant in order to control for contrast effects. For the last experiment I designed, I noticed that on some of the computers the background was a light purple, but on other machines the background was white. Is there a way that I can control for or change the default background colour?

You can set the background colour as an option in the Preferences menu. Or if you want to use different colours for different experiements, or even for differenent items or questionnaires within a session, you can apply temporary "quick styles" -- see the section on preferences in the guide for more detail.
