Media Lab: Problem with skipto command

Media Lab: Problem with skipto command

I am having a problem with 2 of 7 machines. I have several questionnaires that employ the RWG and skipto commands to assign between-subjects conditions. This works on 5 of my machines. That is, participants are only seeing one of three sets of stimulus materials. However, on two of the machines, participants see the stimuli 3 times. It appears that the RWG function is working because it is a random sequence of the three stimulus materials but I think the skipto command is not working on these machines. All 7 machines are actually accessing the same experiment and questionnaire files on the server, so they all are receiving the same input info but 2 are behaving very differently. I have tried “repairing” the program under add and remove programs. But, I haven’t yet tried uninstalling and re-installing MediaLab. Do you have any suggestions?

First thing I would do is check the versions of MediaLab (v200x.x.x) and ensure they are identical. If the problem varies as a function of version (esp 2006.2.39), check this post out:

If the versions are all identical, let me know and we can go from there.

Thanks! The two malfunctioning computers were in fact a different version than the others. I updated all 7 computers, and they are workly seemlessly.
